  • Hallock State Park Preserve 6062 Sound Avenue Riverhead, NY, 11901 United States (map)

Join State Park Naturalist Jennifer Murray to explore the wrackline (high tide line) in search of interesting shells, critters, seaweed, and more. Learn about unique features of this preserve’s shoreline from bank swallows to hoodoos. Ask questions! Go on a shoreline scavenger hunt with your family. The beach clean-up component is optional, but encouraged. Pickers and buckets will be available. Be prepared for chilly weather, the shore is usually ten degrees cooler than inland. Meet in the Upper Parking Lot. Inclement weather cancels. Registration is suggested; please call 631-315-5475 to register.
