Horseshoe Crab Monitoring

We are seeking volunteers for Horseshoe Crab Monitoring at West Creek in Cutchogue and South Harbor Beach in Southold.

“If you participate in this educational survey you will be helping collect data on horseshoe crab spawning abundance, size, sex and tag returns around full and new moon evenings from May to July. Trained site coordinators will be present to educate and teach you about the survey.”

Alewife Monitoring Workshop

Missed the March 28th workshop? We are offering another Alewife Monitoring Workshop on Monday April 13th at 5:30 PM at Veterans Memorial Park. At present, we are seeking volunteers to help monitor Horton’s Creek in Laurel to document spawning Alewives. After a brief presentation indoors, we will head over to Peconic Bay Park for the fieldwork component of the workshop. Please sign up to participate below:
