Join Jennifer for a Family Walk at Orient Beach State Park to learn about our threatened and endangered shorebirds, the Least Tern and the Piping Plover. We may get a glimpse of an American Oystercatcher. Jennifer monitors ten nesting pairs of Piping Plovers at Long Beach, designated a National Natural Landmark in 1980 for the unique maritime cedar forest and salt ponds. FREE event - parking fee is $10.
